The denial of opportunity to participate in the economy is never the fault of the individual; it is and always has been the fault of the economic system itself

our credit based economy is unjust and inequitable but before we can correct it we must admit our role in, our responsibility for that injustice and inequitability

An individual is poor only when they are denied the opportunity to participate equitably in their economy

Just because an individual's income is below a certain level does not make them poor if they have a legitimate opportunity to make their contribution to the economic system and share in that system's goods and services but choose not to exercise that opportunity

in order to eliminate poverty a definition of poverty is required. poverty is the denial of the legitimate opportunity to contribute whatever you have to contribute to the economic system and, therefore, the denial of an equitable share of that system's goods and services.

by using money to fund enterprise plans developed by anyone (regardless of income level), paying people who are upgrading their skill set, and making all publicly funded jobs available in a job auction we could eliminate poverty and maximize our economic growth

distributing the benefits of money equally - our current credit based economy distributes money based on credit worthiness which is an obvious overwhelming advantage for the wealthy. But there are other ways to distribute money that would not favor any particular economic group.

the fractional reserve banking system that finds it's origin in the operations of the Roman Catholic Church during the crusades has a lesson to teach us. That lesson is that money can successfully be created out of nothing and used for sustainable economic growth. What we need to do is redefine our monetary policy such that money is used to benefit everyone in society not just the wealthy.
